MORSE LEADING SCORER IN TEAM HISTORY!

Cascade Christian senior Scott Morse finished his basketball career on Saturday night (3/7) with another state title, and as the leading scorer in team history.

Morse finished with 1632 career points which breaks the record of 1550 previously held by CCHS great, Marty Maurer, and also ranks him in the top 100 of the all-time leading scorers (#60) in Oregon Basketball history, just ahead of NBA & Olympic champion Mel Counts.

CASCADE CHRISTIAN STILL PERFECT IN THE SUNSET LEAGUE!

With a 78-28 win against Reedsport on Tuesday evening (2/10), the Challengers clinched their second straight Sunset league title, and moved their league record to 12-0 in 2008/2009, and 24-0 overall since joining the Sunset League during the 2007/2008 season.

CHALLENGERS REMAIN AT #1!

Cascade Christian retained the top spot in the latest Oregon 3A Coaches poll released on Tuesday (1/20).

This is the seventh week in a row that the Challengers have held the top spot. Rounding out the top five is Santiam Christian at #2, Sheridan at #3, defending state 3A champion Regis at #4 and Valley Catholic at #5.

CHALLENGERS PLAY IN TOP 3A TOURNAMENT BEGINING NEW YEARS DAY!

Cascade Christian will play in the one of the top 3A tournaments in the state this week as the Challengers travel to Salem on Jan 1st for the Crusader Classic at Salem Academy.

Scheduled to participate are second ranked Santiam Christian, fifth ranked Valley Catholic, sixth ranked Rainer, eleventh ranked Umatilla, along with the top ranked Challengers.

Also entered in the tournament from the 2A level are fourth ranked Portland Christian, and the tournament host, sixth ranked Salem Academy.
