The defending 3A state champions haven't lost a league game since the 2006/2007 season when they claimed their first Oregon state basketball championship.

CHALLENGERS #4 IN LATEST STATE POLL (Feb 16, 2010)

Cascade Christian is ranked fourth in the latest 3A Oregon basketball coaches poll released on Tuesday (2/16).

Leading the poll for the first time this year is Dayton (22-2), followed by state runner-up Horizon Christian (21-3), Nyssa (22-2), defending 3A state champion Cascade Christian (24-2) and Santiam Christian (22-2) at #5. Sunset league member Glide (19-6) is ranked #9.

DEFENDING 3A CHAMPS #3 IN FIRST STATE POLL

With a second state championship in three years, Cascade Christian begins their defense of the 3A title on December 10th with a game against 4A Sutherlin in the Phoenix Invitational.

The Challengers return 2 starters, and a depth of talent in 2009/2010. For that reason, the coaches ranked Cascade Christian third in their first state poll. Leading the poll is state runner-up Horizon Christian, followed by Dayton, CCHS, Nyssa and Santiam Christian at #5.
